GLAD is the word for the weekend!!

I have to say if you didn't know about the $3.00 off GLAD Forceflex Trashbags a few weeks ago...you really missed out on a GREAT deal at Publix this weekend.  This was my absolute favorite deal this weekend!  Sure there were other great deals and even a few freebies this week with the right coupons.

So...here's what I got!
Publix had a coupon in their Yellow Advantage Flyer (you pick it up weekly at the front entrance).
***The store coupon was FREE GLAD Food Storage Zipper Bags 30-100ct WYB (when you buy) 1 GLAD Tall Kitchen Trash Backs 40-78ct.
***The GLAD coupon (got this online a few weeks ago) was for $3.00 OFF any ForceFlex Trashbags.
This weeks Publix ad has GLAD Trashbags for $3.00 (select varieties).
So I used my $3.00 coupon and got the 30 gal Forceflex bags ***(((FOR $ .99)))*** and then got the Freezer Zipper bags for FREE...I got this deal times 2 because I had printed 2 of the GLAD coupons and I always pick up 2 of the Yellow Flyers when I go to Publix.   GREAT DEAL!!!!!
Other great deals this week were:
PUBLIX...
French's Mustard (BOGO) with $.50/1 coupon it was FREE plus $.02 profit (use 2 coupons)
Zatarain's Rice Mixes ($1.00 ea) with coupon (printed from Facebook, LIKE them and get the coupon too) I got 4 boxes for only $2.00...$.50 each!!!
A-1 Sauce (BOGO) with $1.00/1 coupon (printed from the special coupon offer earlier this week) $4.24 was the price for 2..with coupons (use 2) I paid 1.12 for each bottle!  GREAT price on this, I checked Kroger while I was there to see what "regular" price should be and it was $4.14 there.  So I feel like $1.12 each was a great deal too!

Del Monte Canned Veggies at $.49 each was a great deal...no coupon, still a great deal!
Hunt's Tomatoes $.49 each was another great deal.  I did have coupons for these also.  $1.00/3 and also a BOGO that I got direct from Hunts website when I passed the deal on to 2 other friends.  These coupons loaded directly to my Kroger card.  So I got 5 cans of tomatoes for $.96 total!
Kleenex Tissues $.99 each...with $.50/3 coupon I got all 3 boxes for $1.98 total!
Frank's Hot Wing Sauce $1.49 with coupon $.50/1 made it $.49 total! 
Some of these deals at Kroger are still going on again this week.  Keep in mind that this is part of the MEGA Event and you must buy 10 of these items to get the sale price.  And you must keep it in increments of 10 to get the savings.  If you get 9 you don't get the deal...if you get 11 you get the deal on 10 and pay regular price for the 11th.  So get 10, 20 etc. 
With all my savings yesterday I spent a total of $48.91 and SAVED $82.74!!! WOW, great deals this week!
So can you see why GLAD is my word for the weekend! What a fabulous way to end one week and start another.  Great weather both days and saving money on my groceries make me one very GLAD girl!

Getting back to business

Wow!  Seems like it has been forever since I've been here with you all!  I promise to do better in the next coming weeks and year. 
So this past weekend was the first real good shopping trip since the beginning of the year and I am happy with my spending/savings so far.  Yesterday's shopping trip included Kroger, Publix and yes, the dreaded Wal-mart.  I did favor Publix greatly with a lot of VERY good B1G1 sales.  Overall it was a good shopping day and there are still 2 days left to take advantage of this weeks savings at Publix.  There sale is good until midnight on Tuesday 01/25/11. 
Here are a few of my favorite deals (with coupons match-up) from Publix:

Yoplait Yo-Plus Yogurt...$2.00 ($1.00 ea) Smartsource (01/02 & 01/16) $.50/1 coupon (use 2) makes it FREE...yep! FREE!!
Shedd's Spread Country Crock 15oz...$1.89 (.95 ea I had 2 coupons from the printables that Kroger gives you with your receipt both were .50/1 so I used them both and got the butter for FREE also!!  FREE again! and actually had .11 that they applied to the rest of my grocery bill.
There were so many more but these are my favorites from yesterday.  In all I spent $31 and some change at Publix but SAVED $52.42 with sales and coupons!! 
My spending/savings for the day was $190 worth of groceries for only $110.  Now if I can continue to do that for the rest of the year, this will be one happy couponing momma!
