As I was looking for new and exciting information on coupons today...I actually found a really good one! This website not only gives you coupons on great products, it also gives back to your schools.
http://www.boxtops4education.com/
Box Tops for Education is probably a pretty familiar term for you if you have kids in school or have had kids in school in the last few years. They give money back directly to the school that sends them in!
Pretty smart idea...
They give you coupons, you shop and buy their products. Box Tops are included on their product, you cut them off and give them to your kids (or the neighbors kid, or nieces or grandkids) to take to school. The school turns them back in and the receive a check! Great way for the PTO to earn extra cash for your school.
You will have to register but once you sign in you will see the link on the page for coupons. There aren't very many right now but I suspect as with most websites they will ad more at the first of the month. Go ahead and sign up now so you will start getting the newsletter. There is also a section on the site where you can print a list of all items that box tops can be found on.
This is really a great deal because you are getting the coupons for saving and the schools are getting money back for our kids!

A promise kept!
Ok ladies,
I promised you all in the classes this weekend that I would be updating this blog more often...well, here goes. Thank you all for coming this weekend and I hope that each of you left with great information and an urge to go start collecting coupons and using them to save your family money.
I did shop a little bit this weekend but for me there wasn't a lot of "great" grocery deals so I stuck to a very normal list of items and for all but 5 things I was able to use coupons.
CVS had a really great deal that I shared with you all and I was able to get the 5 count Zyrtec for $5.99, use the $5.00 off coupon and then get the ECB back for $5.99. So CVS paid me $5.00 just to walk in their store and take the Zrytec (which my husband needed) off the shelf. Thank you CVS! I did have a few more things planned to buy for that trip but those items were already gone. That's ok though :) My coupons were good at Kroger for the John Freida Full Repair and I got 2 more bottles of shampoo and conditioner for $0.99 each.
Remember a few of the key tips that I gave you...First rule of "couponing" is to HAVE FUN!!
There were many websites that I gave you in your packet of information and I won't post all of them each time one is added to those sites. Go to those sites frequently and sign up for their newsletters, they will tell you when there is a new coupon or "good deal" to go for.
If you are interested in hosting a class for your friends please let me know. I will do classes anytime during the week after 6pm and on the weekends pretty much anytime. Class is $5.00 per person.
Thanks again to each one of you for attending the class! Now go out there and save some money, don't forget to let me know how you are doing!!
